Racing with the devil

These photographs are a work in progress.

They are an update on what has transpired in my life in the last 25 years. There have been all the usual changes. We get older, my partnership is less about infatuation more about individual growth and changes. Parents age and die. Friends die too young. When I first looked at my life in photographs and text I labored in the darkroom and used TRI X film. (see the Dear Shirley section)

Now I sit at the computer . What took hours in the darkroom now takes minutes on the computer. The writing is from emails, notes and thoughts that i wrote down in several notebooks, or stored in mysterious places on my computer. Some of the pictures are from film, most were taken with digital cameras. My partner Susan, gets some of the photo credit. She actually deserves more than a postscript.
